Anecdotes NYC began with a simple belief: every life contains moments worthy of careful attention.

Writing and art, together

Meet Daniel and Connie.

Daniel and Connie are a husband-and-wife team who bring writing and art together to shape real memories into creative nonfiction that feels vivid, intimate, and emotionally true to the person at its center.

Daniel

Daniel is a playwright, screenwriter, and director at Juilliard. His plays have been produced at the Huntington Theatre in Boston and the Kiln Theatre. He brings more than ten years of experience providing care and companionship to older adults.

Daniel leads the conversation and writing process, listening for the turns of phrase, remembered places, and moments of humor that reveal the emotional heart of a story.

Connie

Connie is a graduate of Kenyon College and Cornell Law School. She co-chairs her company’s elder care affinity group and is currently enrolled at the Sequential Artists Workshop.

Connie creates original artwork for Anecdotes NYC, translating meaningful scenes, objects, and atmospheres into illustrations that deepen the world of each story.
